Brad Heckman Conflict Resolution Training / 13th Annual Kaplan Lecture: May 25, 2016

The MCWP and CLASP will be hosting an interactive Conflict Resolution Training with guest lecturer Brad Heckman, CEO of the New York Peace Institute, prior to the ACBA's 13th Annual Kaplan Lecture. The topic will be, "Breaking Impasse and Creating Shared Understanding Between Highly Contentious Parties."

The training will be a high energy session in which participants will learn and practice a range of techniques based on Brad's work with groups ranging from the NYPD to NASA to community groups worldwide. The training will include tactics on breaking impasse and creating shared understanding between highly contentious parties. Using hand-drawn visuals, pop culture references, humor, video clips, and theater techniques, participants will expand their conflict resolution toolbox, and sharpen their tried and true tools.

Date: May 25, 2016

Time: 1:30 PM-4:30 PM (prior to the evening Kaplan Lecture) 

CLE Credit: 3 hours substantive credit (pending) 

Cost: $200 (or $120 if also attending the evening Kaplan Lecture)

Location: The Rivers Club, 301 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219

MCWP Roundtables

The MCWP hosts bi-monthly roundtables on a variety of interesting topics. Roundtables take place from 5:45-6:45 pm at the Leech Tishman offices located at 525 William Penn Place, 28th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Roundtables are free to members and $20 for non-members. Family Mediation Meetings

The Family Mediation Committee generally meets the first Thursday of each month at the Children's Institute in Squirrel Hill, Room 218, 1405 Shady Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217, from October-June. Meetings are from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in Room 218.
